business still need to use a fax machine?
Fax machines are still being sold, albeit
on a diminished volume as more turn to email to communicate.
As with the other items of office equipment, a lower-priced
machine will have higher running costs and be less durable -
although if you rarely use faxes, this will not be a problem.
Faxes fit into three main categories:
· ink film [similar to a typewriter ribbon] faxes
· ink jet faxes
· laser faxes
Why should we
have a fax machine?
Although people are more likely to send
emails than faxes, some companies still rely on them. Some instructions
can only be submitted by fax, and faxes have a legal standing
that is not shared by email. .
